The petition
Mustapha Amrani, president of the Taekwondo Association of Benslimane, had organised a tour for a group of 46 teenagers on an unsupervised beach Oued Cherrat. He was referred on Wednesday to the prosecution of Rabat, reported the daily Al Ahdath Al Maghribia and Al Akhbar Yaoum in their delivery of this Friday, June 12.
According to Al Ahdath Al Maghribia, the implicated person is being prosecuted for manslaughter through negligence, in accordance with Article 432 of the Penal Code which stipulates that anyone who, by mistake, carelessness, inattention, negligence or failure to observe regulations, commits involuntarily homicide or is unwittingly the cause, risks three months to five years imprisonment and a fine of 250 to 1,000 dirhams.
And to add that the defendant who declared during the hearing, to be used to organising sports training without bathing on this beach, stressing that during that tragic day, some kids decided to swim after their training session. Then, the tragedy occurred.
