In July 2016, Niantic Labs launched the Pokémon Go game in Canada. Since then, special events were organized by or with Niantic Labs in many cities of the United States, in Japan and in Europe. Unfortunately, few Canadians got to participate to these events as they were far from us and not easily accessible to us.
It is time that Niantic Labs recognises the Canadian Pokémon Go community as we are thousands of hard core Pokémon trainers here.
To support us in our quest of catching them all, Niantic Labs should hold a Canadian safari-like event in one of our major cities (or simultaneously) in Montréal, Ottawa (our national capital) and/or Toronto. There are many large space areas which can hold car-free adventures event - which will allow us to use technology to go outside and explore historic locations, and at the same time, will allow us to engage with our community by meeting other Pokemon Go trainers.
This upcoming Pokemon Go event would allow trainers from neighbour cities to participate by remaining here in Canada and easily travel to get to the event.
We would appreciate the chance to 'CATCH THEM ALL' in Canada in a special event - even the ones we never usually get the chance to see here!
