We, the players and creators of Roblox, urge Roblox Corporation to reconsider the new age verification update that restricts chat and voice communication between users of different age groups.
Roleplay on Roblox relies on free communication. Limiting voice chat and text interactions will prevent players from talking to each other, destroying the collaborative and creative experiences that make Roblox special. Many communities, games, and creators depend on these features to function properly.
We ask Roblox to:
Keep voice chat and text chat accessible across all age groups in roleplay games.
Provide safer alternatives that do not block communication, instead of imposing strict age restrictions.
Support creators in maintaining the freedom to build collaborative and engaging experiences.
Our goal is to gather as many signatures as possible to show Roblox the community cares deeply about preserving roleplay and creativity. Once we reach a significant number of supporters, this petition will be submitted to Roblox for review.
