Justice for Laura: self-defence is not a crime
I am creating this petition because I want justice for Laura.
Laura has experienced something that can change her entire life, and not for the better. What she did was self-defence. Laura does not deserve six years in prison for a rape where the rapist in question would not have even received a quarter of the judicial punishment given to Laura.
I would like to help Laura, and I would like to ask for your help so that we can assist her in not enduring what the justice system is trying to impose on her. It is imperative that the context of her assault is fully recognised and that her conviction is reviewed in light of the protection of victims.
