Petition Against Administrative Delays at Saint-Denis Sous-Préfecture (93200)

We, the Bangladeshi community residing under the jurisdiction of the Saint-Denis sous-préfecture (93200), are facing severe delays in the processing of our administrative files. The prefecture takes more than five times the standard processing time, causing significant hardship for many of us.

The main issues we are experiencing include :

1. Delays in Family Reunification Processing – It takes more than two and a half years for the prefecture to make a decision on a family reunification request for Bangladeshi passport holders.
   
2. Delays in Processing Residence Cards – The issuance of residence permits takes far longer than the legally stipulated time.
   
3. Delays in Renewal of Residence Cards – Renewals are also subject to excessive waiting times, leaving many of us in administrative limbo.
   

The French government has established clear regulations regarding the processing times for these procedures. However, the Saint-Denis sous-préfecture is not adhering to these deadlines, creating uncertainty and distress among the Bangladeshi community.

We urge the relevant authorities to take immediate action to :

• Ensure that the processing of our files follows the legal timeframe.
  
• Improve efficiency in handling family reunification, residence permits, and renewal applications.
  
• Provide transparency in the processing of administrative requests.
  

We call upon the authorities to address this issue urgently and ensure that all applicants receive fair and timely treatment in accordance with French law.
