At the end of March 2018, this brave man is deprived by your government (of which he nevertheless obtained the nationality on January 11, 2018 by your predecessor) of ALL CONNECTIONS WITH THE OUTSIDE (Internet, visiting rights), an unacceptable situation which continues to deprive a man of his most basic rights, and as a citizen and refugee supposed to be protected by international conventions.
We, citizens of all nationalities, are today the whistleblowers of an injustice and censorship that can no longer last.
THE EQUATORIAL NATION, UP TO NOW DEEMED FOR ITS COMMITMENT TO FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION, MUST CONTINUE TO ENGAGE IN THE FIGHT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS. THE UNACCEPTABLE SITUATION OF JULIAN ASSANGE IS PART OF IT.
We demand, Mr. President of Ecuador Lenin Moreno, that you no longer give in to the pressure exerted by WASHINGTON and his allies who perpetuate a real "witch hunt", GIVING TO JULIAN ASSANGE THE POSSIBILITY OF COMMUNICATING WITH THE OUTSIDE.
