Stop gun violence in schools

To the politicians and decision-makers,

We are fed up with the constant shootings in this country. We need to stop it. We are asking for real action to stop this madness. The current laws around gun sales and safety near schools are not working, and it's time we did something about it to protect our kids and our communities.

Every year, too many innocent lives are lost because guns are way too easy to get. For exemple, The highest number of school shootings and casualties occurred during the 2021–22 school year, with 327 incidences resulting in 81 deaths and 269 injuries. School shootings are happening far too often, and it’s clear that we need change.

Here’s what we need:

1. Stricter rules for buying guns, like :
   

Full background checks on everyone buying a gun, for exemple including mental health evaluations.

Raising the minimum age to buy assault rifles.

Tighter restrictions on online gun sales and sales at gun shows.

1. Better protection around schools, including:
   

More security and surveillance around schools.

Stricter rules about what can be carried and sold near schools.

Train school staff and the police to eliminate or reduce risk before the tragedy.

We’ve had enough. No more kids should have to fear for their lives just by going to school. It’s time to act and make sure everyone is safe.
