We, the regular players and active members of the OpenFront.io community, want to express our deep frustration and disappointment with update 0.23, which has completely ruined the game experience.
This update drastically changed core mechanics without any explanation. Gameplay now feels clunky, confusing, and unbalanced. Units behave unpredictably, the economy makes no sense, and everything that used to feel smooth and strategic is now a chaotic mess. Worst of all, there was zero communication from the devs — no detailed patch notes, no guides, nothing. Just a silent, forced overhaul of the game.
The result? The community is confused, annoyed, and leaving. Veteran players no longer recognize the game, and newcomers don’t even know how to play. The game has lost the simplicity and fun that made it great.
We are asking the developers to:
Revert or at least roll back some of the major changes introduced in 0.23
Provide clear, detailed patch notes and explanations for every future update
Actually listen to community feedback before pushing massive changes
OpenFront.io had huge potential. It was simple, strategic, and fun. But update 0.23 is a disaster that threatens to kill the game if nothing is done.
