first and foremost: George Lucas
The Clone Wars, a mythical event of the "Star Wars" Galaxy since 1977, since the first film... An event widely exploited : no doubt that counting all the novels, e-books, short-novels, comic books, animated cartoons, video games and other sourcebooks dealing with the period, we easily approach - if not exceed - the one hundred works ! And not any work moreover : we talk about the famous "Clone Wars" of Dark Horse Comics, about famous novels like "Shatterpoint" or "Labyrinth of Evil" ; we talk about Genndy's Tartakovski's cartoon too, etc... In a word, the gaps between Episode II and Episode III of the saga have rather been well filled up !
What has George Lucas done ? He has pushed all these things into the fanon, no more no less ! For all this whole lot of works the coherence of which - alas! - is not always as well established as it sounds agreed on at least one point : Anakin Skywalker was knighted towards THE END of the war. In the new Lucas's project, "Clone Wars 3D", "they" want us to believe now the Chosen One was made Jedi Knight since THE BEGINNING of the conflict ! Not pleased to be square disrespectful towards the work of numerous authors, Lucas has seen to it that nearly EVERYTHING WHICH HAS BEEN WRITTEN UNTIL NOW ABOUT THE CLONE WARS became UNOFFICIAL !!
Forget Jabiim events, for example : Anakin Skywalker shouldn't be a Padawan at this time ! Think it over for a couple of minutes and you'll see it's all but an isolated case... And it doesn't solely affect the Clone Wars period by the way : because everything which is founded on at least a part of this one naturally becomes controversial too ! Like numerous "Empire" comics... Besides, a nth "great resynchronization" is probably excluded - to condense coherently three years is not as easy as it is for three centuries or three millenia...
That is the reason why I invite everyone who considers George Lucas betrays his fans and absolutely doesn't care of them taking this decision to sign this petition. Hoping he'll take account of it.
