Imagine seeing a dog suffering in a cage, unable to move because of its own waste... and just turning your back on it. That is exactly what federal inspectors did this week in Wayne County, Ohio.
The official USDA report confirms the horror: dogs with open wounds, severe dental rot, and fur matted with feces. The smell of ammonia was so toxic it burnt the inspectors' throats.
Yet, the facility remains open.
The inspectors filed a piece of paper and left the property. The dogs were left behind in the dark, in the filth, waiting for a rescue that never came. We cannot accept this.
A "warning" does not cure an infection. A "citation" does not clean a cage.
This ends today. We are bypassing the federal bureaucracy. We call on the local Wayne County Sheriff to use state animal cruelty laws to intervene where the USDA failed. You have the evidence. You have the location. Go get them out.
