Request thorough investigations into cruelties committed before bullfighting!

Ask the Minister of Justice for serious investigations into the cruelties committed before and after the bullfighting on bulls, bulls and cows, acts that are not tolerated by the Law, article 521-1 of the Criminal Code only protects the perpetrators of cruelties committed during bullfighting!

It is unacceptable for bull farmers to commit acts of cruelty to animals before bullfighting, or during transport. It is also unjustifiable for the people who care for animals before the bullfight itself to inflict severe abuse on bulls, bulls or cowherds in order for these animals to enter the arena diminished, bearing traces of serious abuse punishable by law.
Justice cannot tolerate such acts, as these acts are punishable and are not subject to exclusion from the proceedings provided for in article 521-1 of the Penal Code.

By signing this petition, judicial inquiries will shed light on the mistreatment of animals before they enter the arenas, in order to allow bull killers (matador) to appear more heroic in front of a blind audience.

Excerpt from the texts giving knowledge of these acts before bullfighting:

Before the fight, the bull is sometimes prepared. Various parts of the animal's body may be weakened:

• The eyes: coated with petroleum jelly to disorient the animal.
  
• The limbs: coated with turpentine oil that gives him unbearable burns, in order to prevent him from staying calm.
  
• The testicles: where broken needles are inserted in order to prevent it from sitting or falling down.
  
• The nostrils: in which cotton is inserted and goes down the throat in order to make it more difficult for the animal to breathe.
  
• The spine, the kidneys: to whom are kicked and planked. These beatings leave no trace. Just before entering the arena, 100-kg sandbags may be dropped on the immobilized animal about 30 times.

The use in massive doses of tranquilizers, hypnotics, or even paralyzing sprays (identical to those used by law enforcement agencies and altering sight) has also already been observed.

The transport

The bulls are then transported to the bullfighting cities. It is a painful ordeal. Torn from their natural environment, these animals are locked in wooden restraint boxes measuring less than 2m2. The trips from the south of Spain can last several days and the animals have no possibility of moving. Sometimes they are even made to pass the trip on an inclined plane. Beyond the resulting fatigue, they receive neither water nor food.

Since transport takes place mainly during the summer season, some heaped animals lose up to 30 kg in overheated trucks. In 2001, several dehydrated bulls were found dead in these death trucks. Some were found dead asphyxiated.

Arrived at the arenas, the bulls were then released with water, sticks and insults, just as they were taken on board,

with the same delicacy.

And the ordeal has only just begun...

Afeitado

It is a practice of sawing several centimeters at the end of each horn, the operation being then disguised with resin and varnish so that the horns look intact. This mutilation has a triple purpose: to

• inflict additional suffering on the bull (the horns are innervated and the pain is comparable to that of a human tooth that would suffer the same thing), which will of course increase his distress just before having to face the shock of finding himself in a closed arena from which he cannot escape,
  disorienting the bull, who has a
• precise mental image of the length of his horns. before mutilation and who will therefore miss touching his torturers when he tries to corner them,
  
• reduce the risk for the bullfighter of being injured; since the bull has a very sore horns, he will hesitate to use it to repel his aggressors.
  

The

purpose of this disloyalty is therefore to disarm the animal. Indeed, he does not generally have sufficient time to learn the new length of his horns and thus adapt his whim

After the saw and the hammer, the horns are reconstituted shorter with synthetic resin, they will be grated, sanded, and then varnished. It is not uncommon to see tampered horns explode when the bull hits the railings

Two meters away from the bull, its horns maintain their full sharpness. Viewed from very close up, as only the bullfighter sees them, their extremities have a slightly rounded appearance. This practice has psychosomatic effects on the mind of bullfighters who are addicted to it. They usually all ask for the afeitado
