Request to the Pope François in order to help animals

Your Holiness,

We come with a huge hope to ask you for a very kind intervention in favour of our brothers: the animals. We know you love them, your Encyclical on Ecology where animals are so often quoted, highly proves it. The terrible misery prevailing everywhere in the world, as tragic as it certainly is, should not make us forget that everyday, the fate of millions of poorly treated or even killed animals...

Millions of cats and dogs  in China, galgos in Spain, tortured animals in laboratories, bullfighting, hunting, the horrendous suffering of farmed animals, the problem of intensive fishing around the world, The killing of whales, seals, dolphins, and unacceptable conditions in circuses or zoos, not to mention the millions of abandoned cats and dogs, too often killed in atrocious ways or left to starve to death, the list would be far too long…

Christians should be the first people to respect them, protect them, love them and show the example. Unfortunately, this is not the case, the officials of the Church are hardly concerned by the horrendous abuse they suffer ; but are they really paying any attention to the matter? The priests never mention it.  "Love your neighbor as yourself ", we are certain that for you, animals are also our neighbours. It may now be time to do something about it, even more so that in your "Lodato si encyclopedia" you say in paragraph 83 : "This is yet another argument to reject all despotic and irresponsible domination of humans on other creatures".

The ultimate end of other creatures, should not come from us. Perhaps if you don’t mind us suggesting this, would it be possible to put more emphasis on this statement?

Our Holy Father, who better than you, the Pope of Mercy, could make a difference?

Your Holiness, we put in our petition, our compassion and our love for these innocent tortured creatures and we put in you all our faith and hope.
