Le Moulin Rouge utilise des serpents pour son spectacle. Ils sont placés dans un aquarium géant avec une danseuse qui plonge et manipule les serpents. Les reptiles essayent de garder leur tête hors de l’eau.
Il y a quelques années, le Moulin Rouge utilisait des poneys sur scène.
Les animaux ont des besoins physiologiques et sociaux : ils ont besoin d’un environnement stable et adapté.
PAZ considère que trimbaler régulièrement des animaux pour ensuite les exhiber sur scène ou dans une piscine, dans le bruit, les odeurs et la lumière, est de la maltraitance animale.
Il n’est pas acceptable de les traiter comme des jouets ou des attractions.
La réputation à l’international du Moulin Rouge repose sur la danse, en particulier le French cancan, et son esprit festif. Asservir des animaux abîme son image.
Aux côtés de PAZ, je demande à la direction du MOULIN ROUGE un engagement public de ne plus exploiter d’animaux pour leur spectacle.

The Moulin Rouge uses snakes for its show. They are placed in a giant aquarium with a dancer who dives in and manipulates the snakes. The reptiles try to keep their heads above water.
A few years ago the Moulin Rouge used ponies on stage.
Animals have physiological and social needs: they need a stable and adapted environment.
PAZ considers that regularly transporting animals and then showing them off on stage or in a swimming pool, in noise and light, is animal abuse.
It is not acceptable to treat them as toys or attractions.
The Moulin Rouge's international reputation is based on its dancing, especially the French cancan, and its festive spirit. Enslaving animals damages its image.
Along with PAZ, I am asking the management of the MOULIN ROUGE for a public commitment not to exploit animals for their show.
