We would like to inform you of an important development in the case concerning Riya.
The criminal court has delivered its ruling in the animal abuse case: Riya's owners have been convicted in the first instance for acts of abuse.
The association Coeur sur Pattes is also obtaining reimbursement for the veterinary expenses incurred as well as the granting of damages.
However, the procedure is still ongoing before the Court of Cassation regarding the separate aspect of "dog theft" targeting Diane Gouhier.
In this context, we urge everyone to exercise calm and restraint in public comments and statements. Any outburst could harm the ongoing procedures.
Riya can now officially be registered in the name of Coeur sur Pattes and continue her life in the safety and serenity she deserves.
