The world has banned commercial whaling since 1986, yet Norway continues to ignore the law. Every summer, hundreds of whales are hunted and killed in the North Atlantic. This is no longer about survival; it is about an industry that refuses to die.
The brutal facts of the hunt :
The "Slow Kill" : Whales are shot with explosive harpoons. These weapons often fail to kill the animal instantly. Many whales suffer a slow, agonising death from internal injuries and drowning, which can last for over 15 minutes.
The Killing of Mothers : Shockingly, data shows that a large percentage of the whales slaughtered are pregnant females. By killing one mother, the industry destroys the next generation of the species.
Toxic Waste : Much of the whale meat is not even eaten by humans. It is often used for pet food or simply discarded, making this massacre as wasteful as it is cruel.
Norway wants to be seen as a green leader, but you cannot be a leader while your harpoons are covered in blood. We demand an immediate and total ban on all commercial whaling activities.
