The petition
We have just learned that TOMEK Tomi, President of SOS Chats Noiraigue, which has been fighting for over 30 years in Switzerland to ban cat fur, now faces prison for her fight.
To demonstrate that the trade in cat furs in Switzerland continues in some tanneries, she decided to buy cat skin, then stirred up a buzz with the media to educate and inform the general public.
Swiss justice condemns today Tomi Tomek fined 200 Swiss francs for violating the law on the protection of animals that she helped implement.
Tomi Tomek will not pay the fine. If she persists, she will even have to stay a day in prison!
A disgrace!
Tomi Tomek carries out her work on animal welfare remarkably. She should not be fined. And therefore must not go to jail.
We are now prepared to denounce the trade of cat skins in Switzerland and fully support Tomi Tomek!
